"Carol,Back in October 2004, our German Shepherd dog ‘Monty’ was diagnosed with having CDRM; within 2 weeks he was unable to walk properly, that was until he got his wheels, they gave him a new lease of life. So, I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate what you do. Monty had an extra two and a half years as a result of his "wheels". When I originally placed the order, he was unable to walk and was beginning to give up on life. Since we got the wheels, his life changed and he once again enjoyed going for walks and gained his confidence back, he was a much happier dog. He was even able to run around playing football with my 2 boys! Unfortunately, 3 weeks ago at the age of 12yrs 8mths Monty had to be put to sleep, but we know without the wheels we wouldn’t have had these last two and a half years with him. Even though it has taken me some time to write to you, I wanted to thank you for the wonderful product you provide and for the helpful customer service we always received and I know Monty was grateful too… Kind regards,"
"Hi Carol,Tara is still enjoying a new lease of life with her cart. We actually have 3 German shepherds, one young and boisterous and two old ladies. Tara, who is coming up to 10 yrs old, had developed arthritis in her front right leg. So when she appeared to be having problems with her back legs, we mistakenly thought that old age was catching up on her. However at booster time, our vet was certain it was a nerve problem. She also, amongst other suggestions and comments on quality of life, asked if we'd considered a cart. The internet was heavily consulted that evening. We new nothing of CDRM or DM as the Americans describe the condition, and apart from seeing a small dog with double foreleg amputations on a homemade skateboard style support we also did not know that bespoke disability aids for animals existed. Our dog walking routine was to take the youngster out for an hour, and then drive the 2 old ladies to a nearby lane or field, and let them wander for the 15 minutes or so it took them to get tired. As Tara's condition progressed, these walks had reduced to no more than 30metres (she would end up dragging herself along on her bottom). The other old lady is 13 yrs old, and her fitness had subsequently suffered. Now Tara can charge about at will and the 13 yr old's fitness has improved to match. As you've seen from my original Email, Tara took to the cart immediately. The only stubbornness we've had is a complete unwillingness to walk on a lead whilst in the cart, so she charges about with reckless abandon, we all have the bruises to show for it.
The reasons I chose Doggon: Without the cart, Tara's quality of life would be much poorer." Derek Shipp
"Dear Doggon WheelsThought you might like to see the attached. Remy loves his 'chariot', the only problem we have is getting him into it as he gets so excited, plus slowing him down when he is in it. He frequently runs over our other dog if she doesn't get out of the way quick enough. It has made a tremendous difference to his quality of life and though he is 12 years old he is still healthy and happy now that he can get out." Sylvia Burton
"Dear Carol,It will be three years in August since Kloe was given just a week to live and we were under terrible pressure to have her put to sleep from the Vet. Kloe had suffered a 'stroke' in her back. A blood vessel had burst, and flooded her spinal cord rendering her paralysed from the waist down. Kloe was in danger of creeping paralysis if we kept her alive, making her whole body useless. We decided to make her last few days as happy as we could by bringing her home from the vet and letting her pass away surrounded by her family, canine and human. As you can see, this did not happen, and thanks to your wonderful cart, Kloe leads a full and happy life. She gets around the house by pulling her back legs behind her and either walking on her front legs or bunny hopping. Her one bit of misery was seeing the other dobes go off into our fields on their walks, she desperately wanted to join them. With your cart she does exactly that. It is wonderful to see her trotting along with the other dobes, your cart moves so easily on the grass, she has no problem at all. We are as happy as we can be for Kloe. your cart has made an unbelievable difference to her life and assured us that we made the right decision in bringing her home from the vet. She is ten years old and looking very fit for a dog that was so ill. Many thanks," Pam , George and family
"Shortie says:Had my little cart for over 2 years now and I don't know what I would do without it. Owners say: These Doggonwheels carts are super little devices. Lightweight, durable and to a well thought out design."
"Carol,Just to let you know that Millie's chariot is a resounding success. I am amazed at how quickly she adapted to it. Her confidence increased each day and by the fifth day she was going 'off piste' along the woodland paths, calmly waiting for me if she got caught up on any tree seedlings etc. She has happily romped around the her doggy friends and the human ones are learning to watch out when she wraps the wheel around their legs! Her walking pattern has also improved so that I have not had to pad the frame and for the last couple of days she has stood quietly waiting for me to put her into it. Thank you so much for your time and care in fitting her out and for enabling her to have a much happier future in her senior years. Best Wishes," Joan and Millie
"Hi Carol,Thank you for your quick service with Bens wheels, he had been finding it very difficult to get round and now to we are able to go over the park and our walks are increasing. Ben is a 14 1/2 years old Pembrokeshire Corgi and the arthritis in his back legs had got much worse over the last six months to a point where he could not stand on them. You can tell how pleased he is now that he can get out and about again. With many thanks again for our kind help." Colin of Cardiff and of course BEN.
"Carol,Percy has been given a new lease of life since he got a wheelchair from you, being diagnosed with spondalosis, he was limited to 10 minutes walk a day. Now with his chair, he races up and down the beach and in and out of the sea, he steals the football of my dog Diva and she cannot get it back from him, he even ended up on the front page of the Weston Mercury. You have been ever so helpful with the teething problems I have had with getting used to the cart. I would definitely recommend anyone who has a disabled dog to get a chair. My Percy smiles and wags his tail now and can go on a walk just like he used to. Thank you from me and Percy for this great new life he now has." Theresa
"As promised here are some photos of Ted in his wheels. After Ted fell into the river and was paralysed in his back legs we thought he wouldn't ever go for walks again, but how wrong can you be. The wheels gave him a new lease of life. He will be 11 this year but still thinks he'a pup! Thanks again,"
| "Hi Carol, We had some wheels a couple of months ago for Tasha due to her having an embolism. We would just like to thank you. Tasha is doing really well and has adapted to the wheels really well, she still takes us for the walk and there is no stopping her. However she has started to get abit of use back and can stand for a short while unattended once put in the standing position, so we are hoping that someday she will get some, if not all the use back in her hind legs. We will keep you informed of her progress. Thanks again for all the help in helping Tasha to carry on her normal life and do the things she enjoys most which has been outdoors on walks or playing football.
