"Thank you so much for sending me the wheelchair for Katy. She is like a different dog she can run around go for walks and play with her toys again. I cant believe the difference it has made to her, she is once again the happy little dog she used to be.I am so impressed with your wheelchair and the improvement it has made to our dogs life." | "Hello. had to let you know how well Chester has taken to his wheelchair.I didn`t put it together until tonight and thought he could just try the harness on and get used to the chair being in the room with him. it was very exciting though, he seemed to know what it was for, and with in minutes with tail wagging he was ready to go. we had a very successful short walk, so he is no longer a prisoner at home. I can`t thank you enough. with best wishes,"
"Hi CarolJust to let you know that Benjie is doing very well in his chair. He is the talk of the village and we've made lots of new friends on our walks. He's a much happier dog now but I think things would be very different if he was not able to go walkies with Meggie and me. I've enclosed some photos. I'll try to get some more picturesque ones when we get some decent weather! Thanks again and kind regards"
| "Hello everybody in Doggon Wheels. We were delighted when we saw yer wheels on Richard & Judy ,every thing they said about ye is true, all the praise was well deserved because my dog has got a new lease of life from ye. Take care God Bless" | ||
"Billy has just had his 13th Birthday and is still going out for his walks everyday and sometimes a swim all of which would not have been possible without his wheels. He has been using his wheels for almost a year now and over that time his front legs have got stronger and stronger which means that he can cover a greater area along with the other dogs. Billy took to his wheels straight away but stayed close to us for the first couple of days then after that he was away going wherever he wanted to. If it hadn't been for the wheels I know that Billy would not have seen his 13th Birthday. Billy also loves the sympathy vote he receives from other dog walkers especially when they dive into their pockets and produce a nice tit-bit. He is well known to all the local children as the dog with his own bike. We just wanted to say a big thank-you,"
| "Holly, our ten-year-old Boxer bitch who has D.M., was introduced to her cart when her rear legs were no longer supporting her. She took to the cart immediately and it has opened up enjoyable life for her once more, with one or two half hour walks each day over undulating grass paths or the beach. She is very interested in everything she encounters and eager to meet other dogs and owners. With her feet protected to avoid the ground rubbing the knuckles (part of the D.M. condition) she paddles her rear legs as she walks and in consequence rear leg muscle trim is good. She is able to urinate and pass motions normally without soiling the harness or cart. With a steadying hand on the frame it is possible to negotiate short flights of steps. The cart has been a blessing to Holly and has given her a new lease of life when the outlook seemed rather hopeless." Revd. Dr David Lloyd (Dorset) | ||
"I am pleased to tell you that we have success, as soon as we tried the larger saddle, Fay was much more comfortable and has gained much more confidence. Over the last two weeks we have increased Fay's exercise from just up the field to going onto the road.We are now taking her and our other dog in the car then going for a short walk with them both - fantastic, Fay is wagging her tail and is full of confidence and really striding out. I would like to thank you for your assistance and patience. The wheelchair has given my dear dog a new lease of life and she is generally much brighter and is definitely enjoying herself. Many thanks again"
| "Received the wheelchair Tuesday. Fits. Shanny was amazing. She took to it straight away. Her steering needs work, but her propulsion doesn't.
Everytime someone moves the wheelchair she sits up ready to go. There is only one problem, it takes up most of the back seat in my car. Are well, as long as my newphew has room to sit. We started off in the living room, then Shanny headed straight for the front door. A short lap of the pathway outside followed. She looked so relieved and happy. We have since taken her to the small park near us. She is quiet happy to sniff and walk around. I had to pull her back from the huge muddy puddle that she generally sits in. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We hope to try it out on a short family visit to the local country park on Monday. I am aware though that she probably wants to cover more ground than she is able at the moment. So I will have to hold her back and go gently Kindest regards, Carol"
"We tried Amber in her chair over the weekend - about 2 miles on Saturday and 3 miles on Sunday (she could only manage 1/2 mile on her own before the chair). She loves it and is already trotting along quite merrily down what used to be her favourite country tracks. The chair is filthy already - it had a thorough mud and water test on Sunday! Thanks again"
